UKeiG is delighted to announce this year’s winners of the UKeiG Tony Kent Strix Award. The Award is sponsored by ASLIB: The Association for Information Management, and given in recognition of an outstanding practical innovation or achievement in the field of information retrieval. In 2012 for the first time in the Award’s history, the judging panel was unable to identify a clear winner, and is delighted to announce that the UKeiG Tony Kent Strix Award 2012 is made jointly to Doug Cutting and Professor David Hawking.
